Saba Bananas

I was just killing time on Saturday before the reception for Sandy and Erics wedding when I came upon some banana's I have never seen before at the China Star market. Wow, Saba Bananas! I love bananas fresh, cooked, fried, diced, desert, or baked : p

A tall 20' Philippine variety. When ripe the skin of the banana remains green. It may be eaten fresh or cooked. The thick trunk can develop a base 24" in diameter. Not for export.
