Devo Fuel: {Citizens of Heaven}

"Because I live, you will live also." (John 14:19)

People spend billions of dollars every year on cosmetics, health spas, physical fitness machines, and concoctions claiming to make them live longer or slow down the aging process. But age will overttake even the most beautiful or physically fit ppl in the world, and eventually they will die - as will we.

But some day we who know Christ will have perfect bodies - bodies that will never age or experience pain. Some day our dead bodies will be "raised in glory" (1 Cor. 15:43), and we will be like Christ in His resurrection body.

Can you imagine what that will be like? Not fully. But I do know this: The resurrected body of Jesus is the pattern or design for our new bodies. "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that is may be conformed to His glorious body" (Phil. 3:20-21).

Just for the record I am not a Trekee, but as one of my favorite original Star Trek charater(Spok) would say "Live long and prosper". What a future we have in Christ = )
