Run to Feed the Hungry

Hello Fellow Runners,

Thanks to those that made it out on Saturday and Praise God for his awsome Grace and the beautiful(not rainy) weather that He provided. Jerry, Josh, Jeannie, Julia, and the Original Racer~D show up and came to take the win at William Land Park near the Sac Zoo. The "My Sisters House" Organization benefits and raised money to help out Asian battered women and single families that may need legal council that can not afford it. I would say there was close to 400 ppl in attendance. Congradulations to Josh & JuliA for completing there First race, I'm so proud of the both of you, You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength : )

Racer~D, J-Bear, & Gimpy

"Run Forest Run!!!"

Gimpy sprints to the finish line.

By Gods Grace I finished First & was recognized for the First time in my age group w/ a time of 21:01 minutes for a 3.1 mile race that 3 min. faster than the 2nd place runner. Jeannie can testify to the disappointment of last years fiascol, when I ran w/ a unofficial record due to miss information ; (

I won this First Place Award and a complimentry dinner for two @ Zocalo ("Fancy Pants" Mexican Restaurant downtown).

Anyways, I want everyone to know that its not too late to sign up for this years "Run to feed the Hungry" on Thanksgiving Morning if you are in town and want to run off some excessive pounds(or how Richard puts it "baby fat") before you stuff your face w/ Turkey and pumpkin pie. This is a great opportunity to get some exercise and race for a good cause that partners w/ the Sacramento Food Bank which distributes food and clothing to the homeless in the Sac Area.

So far, I've heard from Sonja, Paul, and Old School. Run or walk at your own pace 5 or 10k.
