Devo Fuel: {God's Truth}

"114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word." ( Psalm 119:114)

God's Word never changes. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear for the Law" (Matt. 5:18) He also declared, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Matt. 24:35).

This isn't because God is an inflexible or insensitive tyrant. It is because He knows what is best for us. He knows how we function, and He knows the pitfalls and dangers we face. If He didn't love us, He wouldn't try to guide us in the right path. But He does!

Only God's Word can help us avoid moral and spiritual danger, and lead us in the right way. The Psalmist testified, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path . . . The entrance of Your words gives light" (Psalm 119:105, 130).

Let God's Word shape and guide you. God loves you too much to leave you in the dark! Many times have I looked to His word for guidance, encouragement, and hope. Life is hard and the bible is there for us to reference what God has promised in our lives.
