Loop~D~Loop

Onward bound, I exited the transition area and road my bike down Industrial Blvd. a bunny hop across the RR tracks, cruising over the overpass and then you make a right onto South Parkway. I wanted to try to maintain a 20 mph speed throughout the whole ride. But, It was a little hard to maintain a constant speed because in one direction I was going against the wind, but thank God for tail wind which made it alot easier going the other direction alot faster.

The bike course was pretty flat and consisted of two loops. The first a 14 mile and the second 10 mile loop. The frustrating thing is, is that the turn was not clearly marked and the volunteers did not give good direction. On the second loop I almost went the wrong way and had to turn around and stop to make sure. This cost me a couple of min. but overall it was a fun ride and I felt pretty good being able to keep up and not be tired on the bike leg. The only thing I would have done differently is probably drink more water along the way. I felt a little dehydrated on the run and my left hamstring started to cramp up.

I finished the bike part in 1:18:00 min.

4b continued ...
