*Acts 20:24

Devo Fuel: {It is more blessed to give than to receive}

Good morning,

This passage is interesting because it start narrating in first person with “we, us, and you”. Paul travels with the disciples through Macedonia and Greece and stays up all night teaching and talking to the Ephesians elders. A boy drops dead after falling asleep listening to the teachings and then is brought back to life the next morning.

One of my favorite verses: “24However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace. “ (Acts 20:24)

I really like the end of this section, Guard yourselves prepare for battle and take hold of what the Lord has promised. The analogy of the wolves and sheep, guarding the flock, to be Sheppard of the Church and fishers of men. "It is more blessed to give than to receive. " This Reminds me of this holiday time and to take a moment and think about what it truly means.

"36When he had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. 37They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him. 38What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again."

Very powerful and encouraging last verses, to kneel before the Lord w/ other believers in Prayer and thanksgiving.

Have a blessed day, In His Love ~D
