I've been exploring different bike routes around West Sacramento trying to find the safest, min. traffic, and smoothest roads to ride. So far I've tried South River Road (pot hole city) which runs along the american river and there is No bike lane and I almost got hit by a car yesterday. I wanted to see if there was another way to cross the river other than the capitol bridge and sure enough there was a small two lane bridge about 12 miles south of my house.
