I hope you all enjoyed the July 4th festivities mine was pretty low key. Went for a 8 am morning ride w/ Jerry a nice easy 16 miles on the American River bike trail cruising at about 15 mph, then raced home and met up with Julie for a 4.5 mile run around Mckinley park, yea : )
I had lunch with Josh and we made chicken fajitas and watched the 3rd stage of the Tour De France. I don't know why, but cycling has just captured my attention and I want to know everything about it and the different strategies when it comes to racing. How a racer could be a minute in front of the field (group of riders behind the leaders) and be passed the last couple of miles to the finish line.
Took a power nap, did some laundry, cleaned my apartment, and organized my desk, practiced some guitar and was off to a BBQ in elk grove hosted by New Hope small group. It was alot of fun, the most interesting dish was a HIGH protein grain I can't remember what it was called w/ beans, corn, and diced bell peppers mixed with a creamy cilantro dressing. Food and Fellowship what a great combination and to top it all off the girls put on a great fireworks show.
Have a great Wed-Nes-Day : )
