This weekend we traveled south to beautiful Monterey to participate in Spirit West Coast (SWC) and experience the wonders of the sea at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Proposal Story
Early Sunday morning around 7:45 am. The weather was a little foggy with tempuratures in the mid 60s. I met Julia in the Lobby of the Holiday Inn Express to go for a run. We headed out to a park nearby which had a small pond, the pond was not that great looking and there were signs posted everywhere "bateria research do not be in contact with the water" So we headed for the beach which was about a mile away.
We explored the beach looking for a spot to take a picture and we found a upright log in the middle of the beach. 
I had my very handy and useful gorilla tripod that I can attach to almost anything and I set it up to take a picture. I set the timer and we took the first picture and then I went to inspect how it came out. 
The second time I set it for video and the camera almost gave me away because Julia noticed that the red light wasn't flashing when set on timer mode. Julia looks a little upset that it is taking so long to setup. I walk over to Julia, looked her straight in the eyes, took hold of here hands and dropped to one knee. I said a bunch of mushy stuff as Julia puts it and I asked Julia to be my wife. 
I purposly held off from pulling out the ring first so that she would pay attention to what I had to say, but to no avail she was too surprised and awe struck that the words were a blur. Praise the Lord she still said "Yes".
