~ Bay Breeze ~

I hope everyone escaped the heat in some way this wknd if you were in Sac. Go USA! Congradulations 2 both Tiger Woods (British Open) and Floyd Landis (Tour de France) for winning there events. It has definitely inspired me to get out there and ride my bike. I ride every chance I get, No matter what the temperature is. Its has now taken over more than half my training time during the week.

Next tentative Triathlon is scheduled for Sat. Sept. 16th Venue: "Tahoe" : )

Saturday - after the camp counselor training meeting which ended early, Yeah 3 pm, I drove to San Leandro and went for a 20 mile bike ride along the shore lines of Marina Blvd. It was a great training experience to be in a new environment and just cruise along the coast w/ the bay breeze cooling you down and then jump into the ocean and play w/ the sharks for a half mile swim. I made sure I played fair and tied both hands behind my back ; ). I had dinner w/ my friend (Naomi) @ a nice Korean restaurant and we had a good time catching up and getting Boba at Tap Ex. I didn't get into the city till about 11 pm and finding Peters parents place wasn't to hard. The hard part was finding parking in his neighborhood, I drove around for 30 min. before finding a place 2 blocks away.
Sunday - I went to Peter & Cindy's church (SF Alliance church) in the Sunset district and met a lot of her nice friends. Went to their Sunday school and learned about spiritual gifts playing this Jepardy type game w/ the spiritual gifts as answers which was fun. Afterwards we had lunch w/ one of my college friends who just moved to the city (Kenny) at "Little Beijing". After that it was such a nice day outside about 80 degrees that Peter, Cindy, Ken, and I walked around Clement street (Chinatown 2). Cindy bought some fresh Lychee, which I haven't had in a really long time. They were really juicy and sweet : )

I left the city about 6 pm, hit a little traffic going over the bay, but I was listening to Nora Jones and a little traffic wasn't going to take away from my wonderful weekend : )
